As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals.
Established in 2010, our business continues to impress year after year. As a business who works with many community clubs, centers, non-profit organizations, and sport organizations, we welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best service in the industry. We look forward to seeing you on the courts between April and October (weather permitting).
Meet the Head Coach
Our people are among the most talented in the industry. It would be our pleasure to put our extensive experience to work for you.

Jelena Tomasovic (Head Coach)
As a 7-time Alberta Provincial Champion over the years and formerly ranked No. 1 in Alberta in both junior tennis and the Alberta Women’s Open, Jelena has developed her love for the sport through playing and coaching both singles and doubles. Receiving her Instructor Certificate at the age of 15, making her the youngest instructor at that time to ever be certified in Canada, Jelena now has over 20 years of experience coaching adults, teens, and children.
Jelena’s coaching highlights include training top provincial players, along with provincial champions and provincial finalists. She enjoys coaching both competitive and recreational players because she likes seeing progress within players of all levels. Being involved in the sport for over 25 years, Jelena enjoys passing on her knowledge to others who wish to give this amazing sport a try.
The coach’s own tennis career started at the age of 9 when she first picked up a racket. A couple years later, appearing at the Alberta Provincial Championships for the first time, she goes on to take the provincial title. With experience training internationally in countries as far as Australia, the United States (Florida), and Serbia, Jelena knows exactly what a good academy consists of - after all, Johan Kriek (2-time Australian Open Champion) was her coach. Having competed in many countries through Central and North America, Europe and Oceana, Jelena had reached No. 508 in the world on the Junior International Tennis Federation (ITF) ranking list.
In 2010, the head coach decided to bring something new to Calgary, Alberta, she called her idea and still does today, Advantage Tennis Academy. Coaching children would be Jelena's strong point mostly because she can explain concepts in ways that children as young as 3 years old are even able to understand. Coaching high performance players is her passion due to the discipline, determination, and hard work she gets to see every minute of the time she and her player step onto the court. Coaching recreational players is where she has the most fun as learning is just that - fun.
Jelena has worked for many years with organizations who provide the opportunity to financially underprivileged children to try out this amazing sport, tennis. Along with this, Jelena has also worked with many Children over the years with high-functioning autism and those with milder or mosaic forms of Down syndrome.

"Talent can only take you so far; hard work however, can take you all the way" - unknown
"Just know that when you are not training, someone somewhere is, and when you do play him, he will win" - unknown
"If tennis doesn't work out, you can always turn to pickleball" - all of "us"
Equipment
The equipment we use for our younger groups (children ages 3 to 12) are 3 different kinds of low compression balls. We encourage them to use rackets ranging from 17 to 26 inches in length. We also have the portable nets which are lower then the standard nets and make the game scaled to the size of the child. If your child joins one of our tennis camps or programs, we will ensure to size your child for the right racquet for him or her.
Games
We believe that in life you need to have discipline and be focused to succeed; however, sometimes you need to relax and just have fun! In this section of the page, coming soon, we will have available games to test your knowledge of the game. Good luck! We are working on adding games and activates for players, teachers, parents, and of course, just those who want to have a little bit of fun. Check back in a bit!
